Deformaster Petit One Piece Vol. 2

I have to agree with RR, this set is not as great as Vol 1.

Bon Kurei(Mr 2) looks like Rock Lee of Naruto!!! And my Shanks looks kinda blue in the face. Seasick?

The cuties, Donquixote Doflamingo and Trafalgar Law

Nami and Nami Variant

One Piece World Collectable Figure Vol. 11

This has got to be my favorite WCF set of all. Breaking into Impel Down arc.

One Piece World Collectable Figure Vol. 10

This set covers Sanji's story at Baratie, complete with Kiddo Sanji!~

アニキャラヒーローズ ワンピースvol.6 ~スリラーバーク編~

Features mostly from Thriller Bark arc, with a few spillovers in Rayleigh, Kuma, Duval and Motobaro.

The Toys Go for a Bath

Was a fine afternoon doing nothing constructive till I heard some protest noises from the residents of the shelf.

Ok ok Luffy, pls get Zoro to put away his katana..

So starts the task of ridding the blanket of dust from them.

You want bath? Give you bath! *plonks*

And after brushing with a mild Mama Ling-mong solution, they have their place to dry on my to-be-washed cushion cover.

Took me almost the whole day for only the Styling and Locations portions cos I was submerging them for abt 5 min while I watch Shana, and took a nap in between.

Needs to give them a shower room to bath themselves!

Old Loots: One Piece Theater ~Various Time~

Got these at Simply Toys of Plaza Singapura during the heydays of collection.

The background allows speech to be written into the not so obvious speech bubbles but I din do so. The little figures measures about probably 1cm with the mafia families being the cutest of all.

Only costed me about 30 bucks but this eventually became one of those classified as space wasters as it comes in odd numbers, cant stack them, and the background isn't allowing visibility to the back..

Old Loots: One Piece WANTED Mugiwara Pirates Collection

PLEX, Sept 2009

My first OP preorder to Latendo, which also kickstarted the collection, after much psycho-ing from RR.

It wasn't cheap (at $90+ for full box of 12, 2 extras, which I thankfully had gotten Sanji and Zoro, the popular ones), and RR was going limited-run-kinda-stuff.

Not that I regretted the purchase since its nice and all but.. ITS SUPER SPACE CONSUMING! Had to stack them up when more sets migrated into my room and later on, the stack ended up in my cd cabinet.

Could rem that Zoro was the hardest to fix with 3000 parts of the swords, and Robin's hands were mind-bongling me.

And I got the Luffy secret variant (aka the one with the devil fruit which Reedy was saying could have cost 100 bucks on its own in ebay. And I originally thot I had doubles =_=")!

Old Loots: One Piece Locations Unlimited Cruise Episode 02

2nd set of the 2-parter. And my first Brook figure~

And here's the full set!

Old Loots: One Piece Locations Unlimited Cruise Episode 01

Another set from another Wii game. The first part of a 2-parter.

Old Loots: One Piece Locations ~from Wii UNLIMITED ADVENTURE~

A Locations set from way back with the Mugiwara crew decked in their outfits featured in Wii: Unlimited Adventures.

Old Loots: One Piece Styling TREASURE GATE ~Gate to the New World~

Looted from Simply Toys as well and I cant recall the reason for buying this set other than trying to complete the Styling series..

=__=;

Old Loots: One Piece Styling Special

One of the special features from the Styling series, as the figures were taken from the series so far to make up this set, abeit with a slightly metallic finishing.

Got this from Simply Toys as well.

Old Loots: One Piece Styling GRAND HOLIDAY ~Towards a Renewed Navigation~

Remind me again.. Why?

Ok Sanji looks good here.

Old Loots: One Piece Styling 2

My first Styling set which got me into the madness.

Zoro looks pretty good, and the overall quality is great! Paulie's pose was fantastic as well, thou I had not reached the Water 7 arc yet at that time.

Japan Shakes

March 9, Japan rocks to a 7.2 magnitude earthquake.

Not much damage done to a country well prepared for occasional shakes of the earth.

Then comes March 11, 1.46pm (SG time). The 5th largest earthquake ever recorded in human history at 8.9 magnitude shook the whole of Japan (and the world) into a frenzy.

And I was Whatapp-ing RR couple of hours before about her friend going to Japan end Mar and that I had leave to clear but nowhere to go.

Immediate tsunami warnings were issued to coastal areas of Japan and countries around the Pacific Ring of Fire.

A frenzy of news followed.
Narita and Haneda airport suspends flight operations.
Railway services suspended.
Sendai airport and a few coastal towns were washed away by the onset tsunami.
Cosmo oil refinery in Chiba on fire.
Millions were left without electricity and water.
Emergency shelters were opened for refugee use.

As if the Great Hanshin Earthquake + 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami re-enactment wasn't enough, a potential Chernobyl attempts to continue the nightmare.
A nuclear power plant (Fukushima I) failed to shut down properly.
Japan declared its first State of Emergency.
Japan starts evacuation efforts around the nuclear power plant.
Feared radiation leak. Reactor unable to cool down. Evacuation expands to 20km surrounding the plant.
Death toll keeps rising as rescuers struggled to reach the victims amidst the tides and aftershocks.
A large explosion at Fukushima I plant on 12 March at 2:36 pm (SG time).

Numerous aftershocks that can hold their own name as earthquakes continued to rattle Japan.

First few detected contamination near nuke plant. report

And the news goes on.. See updates at
Reuters
Yahoo News

Google activated their People Finder as of March 11, 5.30pm (SG time) to aid in calming the nerves.

Twitter has changed the way the world communicates. Updates on Twitter is faster than anything else!

My heart goes all the way out to them after seeing all the pictures and reports and also upon hearing that the supermarts/retailer chains are actually handing out essential necessities like food and hp batteries free. No looting events were great enough to make the news, or if there is any at all, and everyone is simply helping each other overcome the disaster.

To aid in the rescue efforts, here's the list of humanity groups that are working hard on site at the moment and which you may contribute with a click of a mouse from home. I made one to Red Cross thru Amazon as Red Cross keeps rejecting my cards. I would have much wanted to contribute direct to Red Cross Japan but seems like the lines are down. Will definitely go over to boost their economy when things are up.

希望日本能像不倒玩偶般, 不管被搖得多晃, 人心依然屹立不倒, 依然能振作起來.

And I hope none of the actors/actresses, mangakas, seiyuus, etc are caught in the mess. Check In site

*Sidenote: Have monotoned the blog colors in mourning for the impact of this catastrophe. Shall stay till Japan is back on her feet.

*Update 13 March 7.56pm.

I'm on the verge of tears.. The Japanese spirit should be humanity's example~

*Update 14 March 11.50pm.

In Search for the Holy Grill

Firstly, McDees ran a week-long promotion for their new creation.

Teppanyaki Chicken McGrill

Then Burger King did a hit-and-run $1 promotion for their Tendergrill Chicken Burger on 10 March.

Check out the slogan!!

"Flame Grilled. Not Fake Grilled."

I'll hand it to BK for their fighting back. The advertisement war is much more interesting then the burgers.

Had wanted to take advantage of the BK promotion but LOOK AT THE CROWD!!

Ended up with Mos Burger instead. Haha!

Shoes from a Vending Machine?

Spotted at Clarke Quay. First aid costing $20 per pair for the feets that were tortured by the stilettos. Or simply for the flimsy but costly sandals that breaks from drastic dancing motions.

Interesting!
